Expressing Feelings of Honor and Gratitude

I am pleased to represent here a Report of my Guest Author – Mr. Karimbhai V. Hada who had rendered his services as an Anchor-man to the local social function held at Kanodar Mahila Mandal Hall and which was presided by Mrs. Ladiben V. Bangalawala, Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat. Mr. Karimbhai Hada was honored with “Sanchar Sarthi Award” when he was in service with Telecom Department. He is a man of literature and presently the President of Local Community. He is a devoted man of social services and had glorified the Chair of Secretary of Sarvodaya Kelavani Mandal, a reputed local Trust for Higher Secondary Education.

Now onward, you will read the words of Mr. Karimbhai Hada. At the concluding part of this post, I’ll appear before you just to express my feelings of gratitude in brief. Here, Mr. Karimbhai speaks in his following words:

“Under the banner of Local NGO – Ascent Foundation, running a well-equipped and full fledged Institution known as Adarsh Public Library, had organized a remarkable function attended by a great mass of invited village people on May 10, 2009 to felicitate the three native personalities for their contribution of social welfare, education and global brotherhood through respective fields of their works and activities. These honorable persons are:-

Mr. Valibhai N. Musa, a man of letters and a social worker also, had completed  his two years of blogging on Internet under the web title –William’s Tales with his 100 Articles on variety subjects which have been globally read and appreciated.

        

Mr. Karimbhai M. Polra who was honored with Prime Minister of India’s Life Saving Award and President of India’s Meritorious Service Award. He has been recently promoted to the cadre of Dy. Supdt. Of .Police (Vyara). During the course of his service, he has been honored with some 453 rewards by the Department for his courageous duties with loyalty. Mr. Polra’s achievements have raised heads of community and village people very high.

 

Mr. Virabhai C. Chavada, Principal of Kanodar Primary School No.3 has been bestowed with two Awards by President of India and Government of Gujarat for best Principal and teacher during the year of 2008.

 

I myself was entrusted with the responsibility of handling the function and deliver my welcome speech. Prior to commencing of program, I recited some verses of Supplication from the Holy Qur’an, Peace making Prayer from the Atharva Veda and a Gujarati Prayer. I welcomed the jewel-in-crown like three personalities of the function, high valued audience and Mrs. Ladiben, the President of the Assembly. Office bearers of Ascent Foundation and other trusts were requested to offer garlands and bouquets to all the three guests of honor.

As I am restricted to keep my report precise, I regret for my inability to highlight all the points of the speeches of the three and other eloquent orators. In brief to say, their speeches were inspiring and exemplary for all. They expressed their feelings of gratitude for their great honor from the organizers of the function. They narrated their experiences of works and activities in their respective fields. Within their speeches, they affectionately thanked all for recognizing, appreciating and honoring their humble works, services and achievements. They assured the audience with their readiness for extending their co-operation and services to any individual or organization whenever required.

When their speeches were over, they were respected with giving shawls and letters of appreciations as mark of honor by Mr. Karimbhai N. Musa, President of Ascent Foundation, Mr. Mehboobali Polra, President, Kanodar Youth Foundation and other Honorable Chiefs of the village. In reciprocate to the courtesy of great honor shown towards them; they announced their handsome donations to Ascent Foundation for development of Library as follows:

Mr. Valibhai N. Musa          – INR 14786.00

Mr. Karimbhai M. Polra      – INR 11151.00

Mr. Virabhai C. Chavada   – INR 01001.00

 

Announcement of donations was welcomed by the audience with clapping of hands. The President of the Event – Mrs. Ladiben Bangalawala congratulated all the three virtuous gentlemen for their achievements and inspiration provided to the youths for higher and nobler goals of their lives.

Lastly, Mr. Najarali V. Mor, Secretary of Ascent Foundation rose for Vote of Thanks. The participants were served with soft drink. Some sets of Valibhai’s Xeroxed Articles were distributed and then gathering was declared concluded.”

As in my above assurance of my appearance at stipulated juncture in this post, I am here with insufficient words to express my feelings of gratitude towards organizers of the function and Guest Author – Mr. Karimbhai Hada on behalf of all we-three centered to the above reported function. As in an excerpt from Shiite Imam Ali (a.s.)’s advice to his sons in Nahj al-Balagha, a famous book among Muslims for valuable sermons; it has been said, “… then do not be proud of your achievements, but be humble and thankful to Him (God) and realize that your success was due to His abundant Mercy…” It is the grace of the Almighty Creator of Universe that we could do something for the good of human kind with His inspiration and strength.

Lastly, I would like to put a humorous quote of William Arthur Ward as “Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it.” A Thanks Giving is the courtesy, the manner and a good attitude towards gratitude. We thank all, within and without, open and disguise behind the grand function arranged in honor of us. I thank Mr. Karimbhai Hada for his nice reporting of the function and being mediator between my Readers and myself just to keep protocol of a blogger intact. I, personally on my own behalf, thank the members of my Blog Family to encourage me in my blogging activity. I share my joy with you, Ladies and Gentlemen.
