William’s Tales – તૃતીય બ્લોગજયંતીની પૂર્વ સંધ્યાએ…

સહૃદયી વાંચકવૃંદ, અન્ય બ્લોગર-નેટર મિત્રો અને શુભચિંતકો,

સાદર સલામ/પ્રણામ.

મારી તૃતીય વર્ષની બ્લોગ પ્રવૃત્તિ વિષેનો વાર્ષિક લેખ અને તા. ૦૫-૦૫-૨૦૦૭ ના રોજ પ્રસિદ્ધ થએલા મારા પહેલા સંક્ષિપ્ત આર્ટિકલ “A Free  Home” નો અનુવાદ (મુક્ત ઘર) આવતી કાલે તમને વાંચવા મળશે. આજે આ લેખમાં હું મારા અગાઉના આર્ટિકલ “A Round-Up of my 100 Articles” માં જેમ મારા ૧૦૦ આર્ટિકલની Link (કોઈમાં Link Update ન થવાના કારણે જૂની Themeવાળા Home Pageમાં પણ જે તે આર્ટિકલ દેખાઈ શકે છે!) સાથેની યાદી આપી હતી, તે જ રીતે અહીં આ લેખમાં માત્ર ત્રીજા વર્ષની ક્રમાંક ૧૦૧થી શરૂ થતી Link સાથેની સંપૂર્ણ યાદી મૂકવામાં આવે છે, જેનો મને ખૂબ જ  આનંદ છે.

તા. ૧૦ મે, ૨૦૦૯ના રોજ સ્થાનિક ટ્રસ્ટ Ascent  Foundation (આદર્શ લાયબ્રેરી)ના ઉપક્રમે અન્ય બે વ્યક્તિત્વોની પ્રશસ્તિ અને મારા બ્લોગને ૧૦૦ આર્ટિકલ સાથે બે વર્ષ પૂરાં થવા નિમિત્તે  એક સન્માન સમારંભ યોજાયો હતો, જેનો અહેવાલ શ્રી કરીમભાઈ વી. હાડાએ “Expressing Feeling of Honor and Gratitude” આર્ટિકલમાં આપ્યો છે. આ કાર્યક્રમમાં વક્તાઓએ એવો સૂર વ્યક્ત કર્યો હતો કે મારા અંગ્રેજીમાં પ્રસિદ્ધ થએલા ૧૦૦ આર્ટિકલ પૈકી શક્ય તેટલા વધુ આર્ટિકલનો ગુજરાતી અનુવાદ બ્લોગ ઉપર મુકાય તો અંગ્રેજી ન સમજી શકનારા વાંચકો પણ તેનો લાભ લઈ શકે. વળી તેમની લાગણી સાથેની માગણી એ પણ રહી હતી કે અનુવાદો ઉપરાંત સીધા જ કોઈ ગુજરાતી લેખો પણ મૂકવામાં આવે.

આજે મને એ વાતની ખુશી છે કે મારી ધારણા બહાર હું મારા ૪૫ આર્ટિકલનું અનુવાદકાર્ય મારા ત્રીજા વર્ષના કાર્યકાળ દરમિયાન આપી શક્યો છું. અન્ય ૫ આર્ટિકલ સીધા જ ગુજરાતીમાં અને ૧  અનુવાદિત આર્ટિકલ  “A Dangerous Game – A Translation (ખતરનાક ખેલ)” મળીને કુલ્લે ૫૧ આર્ટિકલ ગુજરાતી અને ૨૧ આર્ટિકલ અંગ્રેજી સહિત વર્ષ દરમિયાન એકંદરે ૭૨ ની સંખ્યાના પ્રકાશનથી શ્રી વિજયકુમાર શાહે મારા બ્લોગને ‘દ્વિભાષી (Bilingual) બ્લોગ’ તરીકેની જે ઓળખ આપી છે તે યથાર્થ પુરવાર થઈ છે.

મારા ત્રીજા વર્ષના આર્ટિકલની સળંગ યાદી નીચે આપી છે, જેમના પ્રત્યેક ક્રમાંક ઉપર Click કરવાથી સીધા જ જે તે આર્ટિકલ ઉપર જઈ શકાશે.

Expositions of Chosen Poems – 1 (A Poison Tree)

While chatting on Internet, I chanced to pick an English poem written by William Blake titled as “A Poison Tree”. Following is the link of the original poem being exposed here. My Readers might click it if they are anxious to go thereat.

The poem in discussion here is based on ‘Anger’, a human’s very weak sentiment of behavior which if controlled; the half problems of human life might be calmed down. There is no any difference between Anger and Alcohol (wine) as both make us forget our wisdom when we are under their influence.

The poet is angry with his friend for some reason. He complains to his own anger and seeks guidance what to do; but to his surprise the anger itself calms down. The reason behind this outcome is that the anger is with the friend and the friend is his own fellow. Thus the anger melts down itself instead of growing more because they both are one in two.

We have no any strong and conclusive proof that the creatures other than human are crying. This Article being centered on human being, we have no concern with creatures. Tom Lutz, a biological Researcher of eye fluid (tears) gives three distinguished types of tears (1) Basal (basic) tears (2) Reflex (resulted from irritation or injury) tears; and, (3) Emotional (Psychologically caused) tears. But, here also, there is no any intention of mine to give you any scientific studies of crying or tear shedding. I am going to deal with the emotional tears only now-hence-forth.

Charles Darwin has said, “Crying is the special expression of man.” Crying has no any barriers of age, gender or culture and it will continue for ages in human life. No any external power or authority can prevent crying anybody until the crying person itself calms down in its own way or at its own will. Sometimes it happens that even the crying fellow itself cannot control own crying until the effect of happiness or gloomy whichever might be the root cause is fully wiped off from the mind.

Arnold H. Glasow has quoted, “Crying is a release, a psychological tonic or tranquilizer.” Crying is valuable and yet free, a gift from God to mankind. It is not limited to babies or women; it is for all. It is natural, healthy and curative. To stay fit both physically and mentally, crying is necessary. Sometimes some saddest or happiest events may prove to be fatal to weak hearted persons if they are not reacted or absorbed by shedding tears. At this juncture, I’ll correlate my subject with some literary backgrounds just to justify the importance of crying in human life. Let us go now onwards to an emblematical poem of Alfred Lord Tennyson titled as “Home They Brought Her Warrior Dead”.
