(૩૯૭) માનવતાનો સાદ (Open to Re-blog and Publicize)

નેકનામ/માન્યવર દેશવિદેશે વસતાં માનવતાપ્રેમી કાણોદરી/ગુજરાતી/ભારતીય/વૈશ્વિક ભાઈબહેનો,

સલામ/પ્રણામ.

મારા આ પ્રારંભિક લખાણમાં જ સમાવિષ્ટ અને આનુષાંગિક ‘જીતુ-રેહાના’ વિષેનું આપ સૌ એક એવું લખાણ વાંચશો કે જે કદાચ આપના દિલોદિમાગમાં માનવતાની ભાવના સુષુપ્ત અવસ્થામાં પડેલી હશે તો તે આળસ મરડીને બેઠી થયા સિવાય રહેશે નહિ.

શાળાઓ અને કૉલેજોમાં ચાલતી સ્કાઉટ પ્રવૃત્તિઓમાં સ્કાઉટ માસ્ટર તાલીમાર્થીઓને એક સૂત્ર આપતા હોય છે, ‘Do a good turn daily. (દરરોજ એક સારું કામ કરો.)’. આનો સીમિત અર્થ એ નથી લેવાનો હોતો કે દિવસભરમાં એક જ સારું કામ કરવું; પરંતુ વિશાળ અર્થમાં તેનો મતલબ એમ થાય છે કે માણસે સામે આવી ચડતાં સારાં કામો શક્ય તેટલાં વધારે બજાવી લેવાની તકોને ઝડપી લેવી જોઈએ. આપણને એ યાદ રહેવું જોઈએ કે ‘સુકાર્યો માટે સમય રાહ નથી જોતો, દુષ્કાર્યો માટે સમય ટાંપીને બેઠો હોય છે.’

શહેરી અને ગ્રામ્ય વિસ્તારોમાં બિલાડીના ટોપની જેમ વિસ્તરતી જતી ઝૂંપડપટ્ટીઓને નાબૂદ કરવા માટે કેટલીકવાર સત્તાવાળાઓ બુલડોઝર ફેરવતા હોય છે. અહીં રાજકોટની ડઝનેક જેટલી ઝૂંપડપટ્ટીઓમાં જીતુ–રેહાનાનું શિક્ષણનું સૂક્ષ્માતિસૂક્ષ્મ એક બુલડોઝર દિવસરાત એવું કામ કરી રહ્યું છે કે જે એકાદ દોઢ દાયકામાં તો જે તે કુટુંબની ગરીબી અને લાચારીમાંથી જન્મેલી ભિક્ષાવૃત્તિને કે અસહાયતાને નેસ્તનાબૂદ કરવા સમર્થ પુરવાર થઈ રહ્યું છે.

સેવાભાવનાના લક્ષને વરેલા આ દંપતીના સંપર્કસ્રોતો લેખની નીચે આપેલાં છે, જે થકી માનવતાવાદી દાતાઓ સ્વયં ટેલિફોનિક ખાતરી કરીને પોતાના તન, મન અને ધનથી જીતુ–રેહાના દ્વારા સંચાલિત, પબ્લિક ટ્રસ્ટ એક્ટ હેઠળ રજિસ્ટર્ડ થયેલ અને ઈન્કમટેક્સની u/s 80G(5) અન્વયેની જોગવાઈ મુજબ કરમુક્તિપાત્ર એવા ‘વિશ્વનીડમ પબ્લિક ચેરિટેબલ ટ્રસ્ટ’(Vishwanidam Public Charitable Trust)ને સહાયભૂત થાય તેવી ભલામણ કરવામાં આવે છે.

અમેરિકાસ્થિત દાતાઓ “ARPAN FOUNDATION” (http://www.arpanfoundation.org) અને અન્ય દેશોમાં વસતા દાતાઓ  “CARING FRIENDS –  Mumbai” (http://www.caringfriends.in) એવાં NGOનાં માધ્યમે (Subject to verification of the latest updates) તેમની સંમતિસહ કોઈપણ જાતના Overhead ખર્ચની કાપકૂપ વગર વિદેશી ફંડ પ્રાપ્ત કરવા માટેના ટ્રસ્ટના FCRA પ્રમાણપત્રની ખાતરી કરીને ‘વિશ્વનીડમ’ને પૂરેપૂરું સીધું દાન મોકલાવી શકે છે.

Expressing Feelings of Honor and Gratitude

I am pleased to represent here a Report of my Guest Author – Mr. Karimbhai V. Hada who had rendered his services as an Anchor-man to the local social function held at Kanodar Mahila Mandal Hall and which was presided by Mrs. Ladiben V. Bangalawala, Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat. Mr. Karimbhai Hada was honored with “Sanchar Sarthi Award” when he was in service with Telecom Department. He is a man of literature and presently the President of Local Community. He is a devoted man of social services and had glorified the Chair of Secretary of Sarvodaya Kelavani Mandal, a reputed local Trust for Higher Secondary Education.

Now onward, you will read the words of Mr. Karimbhai Hada. At the concluding part of this post, I’ll appear before you just to express my feelings of gratitude in brief. Here, Mr. Karimbhai speaks in his following words:

“Under the banner of Local NGO – Ascent Foundation, running a well-equipped and full fledged Institution known as Adarsh Public Library, had organized a remarkable function attended by a great mass of invited village people on May 10, 2009 to felicitate the three native personalities for their contribution of social welfare, education and global brotherhood through respective fields of their works and activities. These honorable persons are:-

 

Peeping into an Exemplary Social Life of a Local Chief

Days roll in months and years; and, years in decades. It was a hard day of September 06, 1980 for not only village of Kanodar but for the people of distant areas who knew the Late with his popular name ‘Vajir-kaka’(kaka=uncle). About three decades have passed to demise of Honorable Mr. Vajirbhai Rajabhai Polra (Dawawala), but the deep wounds of his missing in the hearts of the people are not yet healed. I, the author of this post, have been in close contact with him and I have witnessed many more occasions of his life. I have somewhere written in my previous post that I had always been the friend of old hand people at my very young age and I was lucky enough that they all had, in reciprocate, accepted me as their nearest one in spite of much more age differences among us.

I am here with this post on V-kaka with my only aim to pass on the message of the Late’s missionary life to native young generation that has obviously born after 1980 and might not perhaps be knowing who ‘Vajirkaka’ was. When I am setting my finger tips in motion on keyboard of my computer to write something about V-kaka, it does not mean that nobody else has not contributed to build the image of this village of Kanodar and its community. Like V-kaka, they people have also done their great and their services cannot be evaluated accurately and justly even in number of volumes. Every human being is bound to live a double life. Let me clarify here that I have used the word ‘double’, not ‘dual’ in my statement. My learned Readers will easily understand that I am talking about human’s personal and social life. More a person cares for social life rather than personal one, more he or she advances towards greatness and becomes a local, national or global hero..

 

Rising above Corruption – A General Review

India’s ancient Pundit (Scholar) Chanakya, in his literary work “Niti Shastra” i.e. Science on Ethics, quotes as “One should save money against hard times, save wife at the sacrifice of own riches, but invariably one should save own soul even at the sacrifice of wife and riches.”

Not only bureaucrats, but who-so-ever come under boundary of definition of corruption, need to ponder over above words of Chanakya along with the life story of Valmiki, a great Saint (Rishi) and the poet of Ramayana. We know that the members of his family, when he was Vaalio, a Robber, denied to share with his sins saying that the one who commits sins must suffer their consequences oneself.

Violations of duty including to postpone works that are to be immediately done are the abstract forms of corruption. It may be defined in precise as “Corruption is the use of a position of trust for dishonest gain.” I shall remember Chanakya once again with his words as “one who is content with his riches has his heaven here on earth”. But, we see all around the world that the most of the people of all cadres in society are money hungry. They demand bribes for they want to make a decent living. They are not content with what they have and to satisfy their ugly desires they are prepared to do like anything by keeping their ears deaf to hear the voice of their inner soul. They do no see farther than the end of their own nose.
